AI and Isolation - Online Briefing

Loneliness and social isolation are growing challenges in today’s increasingly digital world. But could technology, specifically artificial intelligence, be part of the solution?

The Rekindle Research Group has been exploring how AI can support people who feel lonely or isolated. From their research, the group reached a clear conclusion: yes, artificial intelligence can play a meaningful and positive role in supporting people who feel lonely or isolated.

On the 28th of January, Steve Thompson will explain the group's findings and show examples of how AI can be useful in this scenario.

This session is intended for all, especially for anyone with an interest in digital inclusion or community support.

The briefing will be hosted on Microsoft Teams at 12:15-1:15pm.

Please note that this event will be recorded and made available for future access.
